Terra Plana VivoBarefoot 2007
"Get a group of anthropologists and palaeontologists around a table and you can bet that once the cloud of dandruff has dispersed, the conversation will much sooner than later turn to wherehuman life began. Currently some handfulsof bone and skull found by Kenyan scientist Richard Leakey are one of the main contenders. Enter homus erectus from which name you can divine that she (and it was a she) stood up. One can pretty much say that it was with old erectus that all our problems started. But, of course, if you were her you would view things differently. Just look at the advantages. You don't have to climb a tree to improve the view. You can run faster upright than you can if your knuckles are brushing the ground (as anyone who has met a Leeds United fan will tell you). You learn to throw a while lot better. You look just great in animal skins. In fact, it is fair to say that it was footwear especially that led us to take a bit of a wrong turn.
Backache, poor posture and arthritis generally are often related to the condition of our feet. You wouldn't think Vivo Barefoot could help, but it does. The shoes have an ultra-thin, but give all the benefits of going barefoot. And those benefits are pretty clear. Less stress on the joints for a start and they let the foot flex as it was always meant to. And that means better posture all round. The lesson seems pretty clear. Maybe even erectus would have liked a pair."
