Vegetable Tanned
Vegetable tanned leather is a natural alternative
to Chrome tanning. The leather is prepared by
using vegetable extracts that create beautiful
deep leathers. |

Blakes Stitch
The shoes are often strobel stitched and then a special
machine stitches through the sole and upper.
A very safe construction giving a very smart
and clean look. |

CANASTA
The upper is folded over the mid sole and then stitched
through. The shoes have a smarter look than stitch
down and an extra layer of stitch through the
folded upper. |

Moccasin
The upper is folded up over the last from the bottom
and then hand stitched to the vamp. The shoes
are effectively a bag of leather that feels very
comfortable and soft. |

Side Stitch
A special machine stitches the unit to the side of
the shoe – so the upper sits in a very
safe ‘cup’. The shoes are slick and
low to the ground with a good ‘mud-guard’. |

Stitch Down
The upper is stitched down and through a mid-sole.
The shoes are casual and very sturdy. |

Turn Shoe
The upper and sole is stitched and then turned inside
out to create a blind seam look. The shoes are
very flexible and comfortable with a smart hand
made look from the outside. |

Chrome Free
95% of all leather used in the world is tanned using
the heavy metal Chrome. Chrome III can turn into
Chrome VI – a carcinogen. We work with
a tannery that uses pioneering new tanning method
called “White Line” which eliminates
Chrome. |

E-Leather
E-Leather is an Eco-revolutionary blend of leather
and textile fibres re-woven and finished to be
practically indistinguishable from quality natural
leather. E-Leather is produced with best practice
pollution prevention methods. |

Locally Sourced
Where possible we try to source materials local to
the factories where the shoes are produced – minimising
on transportation. |

Minimum Glue
Through using nearly all stitched constructions – we
minimize the amount of glue used in our shoes. We
are working with our factories to start using water
based adhesives where glues are necessary. |

Recycled
We try to use as many different recycled materials
as possible – from soling materials to
old coats and parachutes. |
